The Gratitude Challenge

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

In honor of our upcoming Operation Give Thanks event on November 7, 2009 (see below article), we have decided to take part in the Gratitude Challenge started by tiny prints!   It’s a 21-day project to help you take “note of the brighter side of life.”

At Operation Shower, we believe that giving thanks for our daily lives as well as giving thanks to others is an essential part of living.

We are starting today by signing the pledge and letting you know why we accepted the challenge.  We’d love for you to join us!

Lena:
I accepted this challenge because although I so love what we are doing at Operation Shower and am so grateful for the opportunity we have to say thanks to the military families through the foundation, I wasn’t stopping to truly acknowledge all the things I am grateful for — in my life or within the organization.   I want to “take note” of these things much more. Are magical moments still magical if no one notices them?   Through this challenge, I hope to stop and notice the magic.
